Small business employee benefit

Employee benefits are an important factor to any business in hiring and retaining a good work force. The success of small businesses solely depends upon the work force and dedication of the employee to the businesses. Since small business is conducted on low-budget the benefits provided to the employee are not to the extent as compare with big businesses. However small businesses have increase the remuneration provided to the employee to a greater extent in the recent years to enhance the small businesses. Some of the small business benefit includes:

Health insurance:

Many small businesses offer personnel health insurance services. To avail these services a small amount of salary is deducted which is often negligible. In return small businesses provide employee affordable health insurance services which are driven by a total commitment to service. Health saving accounts is offered to the employee which is basically a tax-sheltered account that is similar to a traditional Individual Retirement Account but is designated for medical expenses. This facility allows the employee to pay for current health expenses, and save for future qualified medical and retiree health care expenses, on a tax-free basis.

Pay roll taxes:

Some small business cover all the tax issues related to the pay roll of the employee. Employees do not have to pay income, Social Security, or other taxes on payroll dollars contributed from small businesses. However this benefit is not provided to all the employees but to those who are in serious financial crisis or have some disabilities which prevent them to pay the taxes.

Commissions:

One of the major benefits that small businesses offer to the employee is commissions on business profits and increase in productivity. If a small business is progressing well it ensures that the employees are always paid with the proper bonuses for their job. The commission is usually added to the salary and depends upon the manner in which the small business is progressing. The type of commissions awarded to the employee include:

  • Cash remuneration
  • Bonuses
  • Rewards
  • Free leave etc.
Debt cards:

One way that employers can make sure that employees easily take advantage of the benefits of health savings accounts is by offering a benefits debit card in conjunction with the health assurance services. A benefit debit card works just like a regular debit card, except that instead of being linked to a checking account, the card is linked to funds that employees have set aside in the health savings accounts. With debt card facilities provided to the employee by small businesses the employees can easily access their funds and pay for medical expenses.

Working facilities:

There are several working facilities that are provided to the employee working for a small business. These facilities include pick and drop facilities to employee living at far distances, yearly elevation in income and on the bases of businesses development the employee are often paid cash rewards. The working facilities also include the supply of proper equipments which is needed by the employee to work at small businesses.
