If a standard taken by some successful businessmen is considered, the following points would share similarity:
- The first and the basic point, which should be kept in mind when conveying your message to the customer, is that you should adopt a 'you' rather than adopting an 'I' attitude. For e.g., consider the following sentence: 'we are the best providers of this product in the market'. This sentence can easily harm the marketing of your product. It would be better to present your product this way: 'you will be satisfied by our product and will consider it to be the best'. This type of attitude has a better impact on the client.
- Secondly, it is better to portray the best points of your product via any means. You should tell your client how your product is different from other products, what the advantages they can achieve from it after using it. For maintaining a proper market, you should be sincere about your product so that once the customer uses it s/he feels satisfied and goes for it again. If you tend to make your product a tin god, after usage, when it does not give the same effects described by you, your product and your rapport will be destroyed in the eyes of the client.
- Be honest with your client: let him or her know about the negative aspects of your products, but also tell him or her about the precautions also or how to prevent side effects, if possible.
